Driving HSQE excellence across Wales through trusted leadership, hands-on assurance, and real autonomy to shape safer, higher-performing operations.
We’re looking for an experienced Assurance & Quality Manager to join our Wales & Western Rail division. This is a key role focused on driving health, safety, quality and environmental standards across the business.
Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll support safe and compliant delivery across projects, improve standards, and help create a strong positive culture across operational teams.

What you’ll do;
Promote a strong HSQE culture across the division
Provide advice and support on health, safety, quality and environmental matters
Carry out site visits, audits and team engagement
Report on performance, risks and improvement actions
Support project mobilisation, sign-off and hand back processes
Ensure compliance with drugs and alcohol testing requirements
Coach and influence teams to improve behaviours and standards
Ensure compliance with ISO, legal and client requirements
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

What we’re looking for;
Rail industry experience in a similar role
Strong understanding of rail safety and compliance standards
NEBOSH Certificate and IOSH membership desirable
Sentinel competencies desirable (PTS / COSS / PC / ES / SSOWP)
Full UK driving licence
Strong IT skills
Excellent communication and influencing ability
Organised, proactive and detail focused
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
