Location: Areas within Reading, Sheffield, Swindon
Salary: Competitive

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

We are seeking an experienced Arboricultural Consultant to join our expanding Southern team, supporting a strong pipeline of infrastructure and development projects across the South of England.
This is a highly varied and technically engaging role, ideal for an experienced consultant who thrives in a field-based environment, enjoys problem solving, and takes pride in delivering high-quality arboricultural advice that shapes real development outcomes.
You will be part of a structured consultancy team led by senior leadership, with strong support and clear opportunities for career progression.
What you’ll do;
You will deliver a wide range of arboricultural consultancy services across infrastructure, planning, and environmental projects, including:
BS5837:2012 surveys and development planning support
Visual Tree Assessments (VTA) and tree condition inspections
Technical report writing and arboricultural recommendations
Tree protection supervision on construction sites
Infrastructure projects including utilities and air excavation works
Decay-related assessments and tree condition analysis
Woodland management and wider consultancy input
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same.

What we’re looking for;
Proven experience in arboricultural consultancy/surveying
NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent/higher) in Arboriculture & Forestry
LANTRA Professional Tree Inspection qualification
Strong experience in BS5837:2012 and development projects
Proven Visual Tree Assessment (VTA) capability
Excellent technical report writing skills
Full UK driving licence (clean)
CSCS and/or ROLO certification
Strong IT skills (tree/survey systems)
Solid understanding of arboricultural operations and specifications
Ability to manage workload independently
