At Ground Control Geotechnical Solutions, we deliver high-quality geotechnical and groundwork services across a range of projects.
We're looking for a reliable and organised Driver / Store Person to support our depot and site teams with the transportation, storage and distribution of equipment and materials. This is a hands-on, varied role combining driving, logistics, stock management and equipment handling, helping ensure our site teams have what they need, when they need it.
What you'll do
Drive company vehicles to deliver tools, equipment and materials to project sites.
Safely load and unload deliveries using appropriate manual handling techniques and forklifts where required.
Complete vehicle pre- and post-use checks and report any defects.
Receive, check and record deliveries against purchase orders, maintaining accurate stock records and carrying out regular inventory checks.
Organise, store and maintain tools, materials and equipment safely and efficiently at the depot.
Check, clean and store equipment returned from site, carrying out basic maintenance where required.
Support site mobilisation and demobilisation, including coordinating equipment and materials and helping set up or dismantle temporary site stores.
Work closely with site teams to understand and respond to equipment and material requirements, including arranging urgent deliveries when needed.
Maintain clean, safe and organised depot, vehicle and storage areas.
Follow all company HSE, manual handling and transport requirements.

What we're looking for – Must Haves
Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record (Category B minimum).
Experience in a driving, stores, logistics or similar hands-on role.
Experience handling and transporting equipment and materials safely.
Good organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate stock and delivery records.
Basic mechanical knowledge and confidence carrying out minor equipment maintenance.
Good understanding of manual handling and safe lifting practices.
Reliable, punctual and proactive approach.
Comfortable working with both site and depot teams.
Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to support a varied workload.
Strong commitment to health and safety.
Desirable – Not Required
Category C driving licence.
Counterbalance or Reach forklift licence.
NRSWA/Street Works qualification.
Experience supporting site mobilisation and demobilisation.
Experience within construction, geotechnical or groundwork.
CSCS card or equivalent.
First Aid or Fire Marshal training.
