About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Estimator to join our growing team.
You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for grounds maintenance, horticultural, vegetation management, and winter maintenance contracts across the UK and Ireland.
Our clients include major retailers, schools, universities, utility providers, emergency services, commercial estates, and public sector organisations. Working closely with our operational and business development teams, you will play a key role in securing new business opportunities and supporting the continued growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions.
Review specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
Undertake site surveys and assessments where required.
Price grounds maintenance, horticultural, vegetation management, gritting, and snow clearance services.
Calculate labour, plant, materials, subcontractor, and operational costs.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
Work with operational teams to ensure solutions are practical and deliverable.
Support presentations, proposals, and contract mobilisation activities.
Ensure all tenders are submitted accurately and within deadlines.

Requirements
Essential
Previous experience in an Estimator, Commercial, Bid, or Quantity Surveying role.
Experience pricing grounds maintenance, landscaping, facilities management, utilities, or winter maintenance contracts.
Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
Excellent Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
Ability to interpret tender specifications and develop accurate pricing models.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
Experience within retail, education, utilities, or public sector environments.
Knowledge of grounds maintenance operations and winter maintenance services.
Experience pricing multi-site or national contracts.
Understanding of public sector procurement and framework agreements.
