Rope Access Manager
Location: National
Salary: Competitive
Contract Type: Permanent, 40 hours per week
Take ownership. Build lasting relationships. Make a visible impact every day.
You take pride in running safe, efficient rope access operations, building strong client relationships, and leading your teams with fairness and clarity. That’s exactly the kind of leadership we value at Ground Control.
We’re looking for a Rope Access Manager who owns their operations with confidence, someone who sets high standards, tackles issues proactively, and represents the business with professionalism and pride. You’ll have real autonomy, the support of a skilled operational network, and the freedom to make decisions that shape the success of your rope access projects.
What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll take full ownership of your rope access operations and play a key part in maintaining safe, efficient work, strong client relationships, and high standards across every site.
Implement, maintain, and review safe systems, policies, and procedures.
Ensure teams meet industry safety standards and compliance requirements.
Conduct site visits, audits, and incident investigations to maintain excellence.
Support recruitment, staff development, and retention to grow a strong, competent team.
Uphold Ground Control’s values and inspire the same throughout your teams.
What you’ll get
The freedom to run your region with trust, not micromanagement
A region where your leadership shapes performance, client satisfaction and long-term success
Scope to grow your portfolio and influence as you deliver strong results
Development opportunities through hands-on leadership, turnaround work and cross-functional collaboration
Competitive package including company vehicle, private GP, wellbeing support, bonus scheme, pension, volunteering days and recognition rewards
What we’re looking for:
Lead rope access operations, ensuring it’s the right method for each project.
Plan, implement, and review safe systems of work.
Maintain operational policies, procedures, and compliance with industry standards.
Motivate and manage Rope Access Supervisors and field teams to achieve high safety standards.
Conduct site visits, audits, and support incident investigations.
Ensure all personnel hold the correct competencies and IRATA certifications.
Drive improvements in delivery, compliance, and team engagement.
Uphold and inspire Ground Control’s core values across all rope access operations.
