We’re seeking a motivated Site Manager / Assistant Site Manager to oversee day-to-day construction site operations within our Landscape, Design, and Energy division. You’ll work closely with senior managers, maintain health and safety compliance, and lead field teams to achieve strong results while developing your skills for more senior roles.
This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for operational delivery, safety, quality, and team performance.
What you’ll do:
In this role, you’ll support site operations and help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Site Management: Support day-to-day site operations, ensuring teams work according to project plans and resources are effectively used.
Team Management: Supervise field teams, mentor where required, and assign tasks with clarity and accountability.
Site Compliance: Maintain H&S standards, ensure documentation is complete, and carry out regular inspections.
HSQE: Conduct quality inspections, report hazards, and log updates in Safety Culture.
Client Relationships: Communicate effectively with clients and support senior managers as needed.
Decision Making: Make daily on-site decisions with guidance from senior managers and escalate issues as required.
Systems: Use Microsoft Office, Safety Culture, and other systems to update site progress and records

What we’re looking for:
Proven experience supervising teams or managing site-based projects
SMSTS and CSCS certifications desirable (training may be provided for the right candidate)
Safety-conscious with understanding of standards and RAMS
Strong IT and organizational skills
Confident, proactive, and willing to learn
Desirable knowledge and skills:
Assistant site management experience
Utilities or infrastructure project background
Transferable experience from other construction industries
