We’re looking for a Grounds Maintenance Working Supervisor to support the Contract Manager and ensure high standards across your sites. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility on the ground, where your leadership directly affects service quality and client satisfaction.
What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll take responsibility for delivering high-quality grounds maintenance and tree works while leading and supporting your Field Teams.
Assist the Contract Manager in planning and overseeing daily operations, ensuring sites are safe, tidy, and meet client standards.
Lead and motivate Field Teams, providing clear instructions, monitoring performance, and resolving issues on-site.
Coordinate machinery, vehicles, equipment, and team schedules efficiently.
Conduct regular quality checks, address problems promptly, and maintain Health & Safety compliance at all times.
Operate machinery safely and carry out small-scale urgent works when needed.
Support extra works opportunities, supervising additional tasks to improve service and client satisfaction.
Attend client meetings as required, helping maintain strong, professional relationships.
Keep accurate records of completed work, inspections, and site visits.

What we’re looking for
Proven experience supervising grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticultural teams.
Confident, organised, hands-on leader who motivates teams and ensures work is delivered efficiently and to high standards.
Practical problem solver who can tackle issues early, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing site demands.
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, machinery operation, and modern grounds maintenance practices.
Full UK driving licence for travel to site.
PA1/PA6 spraying license or horticultural qualifications (desirable)
