What you’ll do:
In this role, you will be the technical lead for our electrical provision, delivering your own outages while overseeing a small team of subcontract SAPs. You’ll play a key part in ensuring safe, high-quality, and compliant delivery of all power isolation activities up to 11kV.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver your own tree-cutting power outages and oversee those completed by subcontract SAPs.

- Lead the electrical provision team, ensuring all outages are completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
- Support delivery of the wider tree-cutting outage programme across the region.
- Manage and monitor budgets relating to the electrical provision.
- Champion safety, compliance, and operational excellence at every stage.
What We’re Looking For

- HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of Sse (or other DNO) shutdown processes, rules, and regulations.
- A proactive problem-solver with excellent planning, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
At Ground Control we can offer a long-term, stable programme of work across multiple counties with the flexibility to work from home for planning and admin. You’ll have the opportunity to lead, shape, and grow your own electrical provision team.
