We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join our Landscaping team – a pivotal role in driving growth and supporting the success of our projects nationwide.
What you’ll do:
As Senior Estimator, you’ll play a crucial part in winning new work and delivering accurate, competitive tender submissions. You’ll combine your commercial acumen with technical expertise to achieve excellent conversion rates and strong margins.
This is a fully remote role, giving you flexibility and autonomy to manage your workload from home, with occasional site visits and meetings as required.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications to prepare detailed and accurate estimates.
- Collaborate with suppliers, sub-contractors, designers, engineers, and architects to gather all necessary pricing and project information.
- Review and evaluate designs to identify value engineering opportunities and propose alternative materials or methods where appropriate.
- Prepare and compile detailed take-offs and data to support timely and accurate bid proposals.
- Produce comprehensive tender handover documents outlining key strategies, risks, opportunities, and resource plans.
- Provide guidance and support to Estimating Assistants and Administrators, helping them perform effectively across projects.
- Ensure confidentiality of company, client, and supplier information is always maintained.
- Work flexibly and proactively, adapting to workload demands while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
About you:
You’re an experienced Estimator within landscape construction, groundworks, or drainage, ideally with exposure to sustainable urban drainage systems (SuDS). You combine technical expertise with strong commercial judgement and a proactive, hands-on approach.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in bid and tender management across hard and soft landscaping.
- Strong analytical, written, and presentation skills.
- Commercial awareness with sound understanding of frameworks, contracts, and risk management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Motivation to succeed and deliver high-quality results independently.
Tools & Systems:
Experience with On-Screen Take-off, Microsoft Office, and pricing software is essential. Familiarity with Bluebeam and Valesco software is desirable.
