Ground Control, the UK’s leading external maintenance and biodiversity business, is seeking a reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team working across Ashford and the surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities in Grounds Maintenance

• Delivery of planned and reactive grounds maintenance services to a wide range of commercial sites across Ashford
• Grass cutting, hedge trimming, strimming, weeding, and general horticultural duties
• Regular litter picking and site tidying tasks, keeping all areas clean and presentable
• Operation and basic maintenance of horticultural machinery and equipment (training provided)
• Reporting site issues, hazards, and maintenance needs to the supervisor or contract manager
• Working safely in line with Ground Control’s health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Interacting respectfully with clients, the public, and your team mates

Skills and Experience Required for Success

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, landscaping, or a similar outdoor role is preferred
• A positive, proactive approach and a willingness to learn new skills
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and to undertake physical tasks
• Strong attention to detail, with pride in producing high-quality work
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Full UK driving licence desirable
