As a Contract Manager – Boundary Fencing, you will oversee the successful execution of boundary fencing projects within the National Highways, Water, and Construction sectors. You will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle—from tendering and planning to execution and completion—ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Serving as a vital link between clients, operational teams, and senior leadership, you will drive operational excellence, strengthen client relationships, and ensure compliance with contractual commitments, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Your leadership will foster innovation and continuous improvement, contributing to the ongoing success of the fencing division. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, commercial insight, and strategic leadership to guarantee seamless project delivery while upholding industry best practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Management
Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of fencing projects across highways, water, and construction sites. Conduct site surveys, manage risks, and ensure compliance with contracts and regulations. Coordinate materials, labour, and logistics for efficient delivery while mitigating delays and cost overruns.
Commercial & Financial Management
Manage budgets, forecasting, and cost control to maintain target margins. Ensure timely applications for payment, identify revenue opportunities, and control Work in Progress (WIP). Negotiate cost-effective supplier and subcontractor contracts.
Stakeholder & Client Relations
Maintain strong client relationships, act as the main point of contact, and ensure high satisfaction. Engage with external stakeholders for compliance and foster clear communication across teams and contractors.
HSQE Compliance
Ensure adherence to industry standards, including NHSS2a. Develop and review HSQE documentation, enforce safety policies, conduct audits, and promote sustainability in projects.
Operational Excellence
Enhance efficiency through process improvements and digital solutions. Lead lessons learned reviews and stay updated on industry advancements.
Leadership & Team Development
Mentor and support Site Managers and field teams, providing structured training and workforce planning. Foster a high-performance culture aligned with company values.
