The Role
To support the Rail & Infrastructure Division in managing the operation for an assigned programme within a distribution area(s). Take responsibility for driving programme delivery for both self, contract KPI targets and cutting team(s). Ensure work is completed to the highest possible standards in terms of safety, environment, quality, customer service and profitability. Drive consistency and innovation through everything you do to ensure Ground Control are the best at what we do!
Role Responsibilities
- Successful undertaking and completion of all Project Manager duties for your allocated works.
- Responsible for outputs and performance within your Projects, measured against safety, quality, production, budget, required timings and client satisfaction.
- Ensure efficient communication with your assigned Project Coordinator and relevant action taken to ensure projects are processed in good time for smooth and efficient project delivery on all projects.
- Timely and effective reporting and communication.
- Ensure your assigned cutting team(s), have a suitable work bank and are being fully utilised across the wider contract.
- Update and manage the Works Programme (Whereabouts), SD Programme, Held Up Programme, Planning Checklists, and all similar programmes for your project and assigned teams.
- Satisfactorily resolve all landowner complaints on your assigned projects to the Ground Control and Clients standards.
- Participate in resolving any Held-Up spans that need client resolution to obtain consent.
- When required carry out survey and consenting to increase delivery volumes.
- Assist Junior PM/Surveyor in the resolution of any SSSI sites, TPO’s or Conservation Areas that fall within the scope/programme area.
- Achieve a high level of safety awareness and field team safety accountability through on-site inspections and audits.
- Monitor, plan and achieve all set HSQE KPIs.
- Develop a strong working relationship with the clients representative.
- Attend internal programming and planning meetings.
- Assist in the development of Junior Project Managers within the team, through a mentoring and shadowing approach.
- Responsible for your own programming and delivery of role outcomes. Which will be measured against a KPI.
