We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity as a Rail Contract Manager to join our Arb Rail team in Wales.

Reporting to the Senior Contract Manager, the Rail Contract Manager will contribute to the performance and growth of our rail division and ensure that we exceed our client’s expectations on safety, quality and operational delivery.

The Rail Contract Manager will predominantly be involved in de-veg but the work scope may potentially also include fencing and civils work. 

Duties will include: 

• Managing multiple Rail Site Supervisors and rail sites to exceed client and internal KPIs
• Assist the Senior Contract Manager with the planning, safety and quality of the work 
• Surveying of sites to evaluate vegetation clearance work required and ensuring adequate resourcing to deliver

Who are we looking for?

This is a great opportunity for a change. You could be working as a manager on the rail side and looking for a change into de-veg work or you could be a strong Arb Manager looking for a move into rail. The candidate will ideally have had some, but not necessarily all, of the following;

• Experience in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environment, land use, or a related discipline.
• Relevant managerial and/or operational experience 
• Previous experience in the rail industry
• Experienced in effectively leading teams
• Effective influencing and negotiating skills.
• Knowledge and strong commercial acumen of tendering
