Ground Control are looking for a Head of Landscape Architecture to lead, develop and expand our award winning Landscape Architecture consultancy practice. Heading up this team, you will manage the overall strategic direction of our Landscape Design Practice as well as develop your own team. You will be responsible for shaping the future of Ground Control’s core ethos of ‘caring for our environment’ alongside our other consultancy team.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for applications from highly experienced Landscape Architect or design professionals with substantial consultancy experience across a range of sectors in all aspects of the profession including design, planning and assessment. In addition, you will have proven business development experience as the role will involve expanding the Landscape Architecture portfolio and you will be a true leader, ready to recruit and develop the design team to meet our future growth plans. We are seeking a high- quality, driven and enthusiastic candidate with strong commercial acumen, people management skills and the proven ability to develop strong client relationships.

• A relevant degree / post graduate diploma in Landscape Architecture and Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute with minimum 10 years’ experience;
• Proven and substantial Landscape design consultancy experience with an excellent understanding of the planning process.
• Good leadership skills, with proven experience of building and manging teams
• The ability to work both collaboratively and independently;
• Effective organisational and communication skills;
• Proven business development experience, and work winning abilities.
• Client facing persona and relationships.
• Enthusiasm and commitment to grow a business and drive to go the extra mile.
• Be in possession of a full UK driving license
